Spain has a deep-rooted passion for basketball, trailing only football in national popularity. Local municipalities require lighting solutions that can withstand the Mediterranean climate—characterized by high UV exposure and salty coastal air—while meeting strict European standards for sports lighting. For this project, the client required a solution that could transform standard outdoor courts into professional-level arenas capable of hosting nighttime tournaments without the glare typical of older systems.
Based on our series specifications, we provided the 600W SMD model, engineered for high-intensity environments
Key Technical Attributes:
Luminous Efficacy: High efficiency of 150lm/W, delivering a massive 90,000 lumens per fixture
Optics: Precision beam angles (selectable from 10°, 25°, or 60°) ensure uniform light distribution while minimizing light spill into neighboring residential areas
Core Components: Integration of LED chips and drivers ensures a stable lifespan and a 5-year warranty
Voltage Stability: A wide input range of AC 85-295V allows the lights to remain stable despite local grid fluctuations
Physical Build: A robust footprint of 632mm x 460mm x 270mm, designed for superior heat dissipation in warm Spanish summers
Upon completion of the installation, the feedback from the Spanish technical team highlighted three primary areas of success:
Visual Excellence: With a Color Rendering Index (CRI) of 80, the lighting makes the colors of the court and the ball "pop," providing a better experience for both players and spectators
Installation Versatility: The adjustable bracket system allowed contractors to fine-tune the tilt of each unit, achieving perfectly balanced light levels across the courts
Energy Savings: Replacing older HID lamps with our 600W LED units resulted in an immediate energy reduction of over 50%, a critical factor given rising electricity costs in Europe.
The success of this 240-unit batch reinforces our factory’s commitment to international excellence. By utilizing 5050 chip sizes, we ensure that the thermal load is distributed evenly, preventing premature lumen depreciation and maintaining the 150lm/W output over the long term
